CloudKlass Academy ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our services, including the CloudKlass website and mobile app.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you register. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email).
  • Profile Information: Optional details you add, such as occupation, education level, and location (state/LGA), used to personalize lessons.
  • AI Prompts & Content: The topics, questions, and prompts you submit to our AI tools (Ask, Coach, and the Lesson Planner), which we process to generate and (for the Planner) save your responses.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with our services, including lessons generated and features used.
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through our payment providers (Flutterwave and Paystack). We do not store your full card details.
  • Device Information: Browser type, IP address, and device identifiers for security and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our AI-powered educational services.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To send service updates and educational content (with your consent).
  • To ensure security and prevent fraud.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Firebase (authentication), Flutterwave and Paystack (payments), and third-party AI providers via OpenRouter (to generate responses to the prompts you submit).
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure connections (HTTPS), and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
  • Correction: Update inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Permanently delete your account and data — use Profile → Delete account in the mobile app, or follow our Account & Data Deletion page.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured format.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our live systems; residual copies in routine encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. We may retain a minimal set of records only where required by law (for example, basic transaction records for accounting and fraud prevention).

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are designed for educators, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through our service or by email.
